1. Introduction
Waslo (“Waslo”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a software platform that helps e-commerce and cash-on-delivery merchants manage orders and related business operations. This Privacy Policy explains what information Waslo collects, how that information is used, and the choices available to you.
This policy applies to the Waslo website at https://waslo.tn and to the Waslo application used by merchants. It is intended for Waslo account holders and visitors. If you are a customer of a merchant that uses Waslo, that merchant is generally responsible for the personal information they enter into Waslo about you.
2. Information we collect
Waslo collects information that merchants and visitors provide directly, information generated through use of the service, and information received from third-party services that a merchant chooses to connect.
3. Account and business information
When a merchant creates or uses a Waslo account, we may collect:
- Name, email address, and login credentials
- Business or shop name and related account details
- Role and team-membership information within a Waslo workspace
- Billing and invoice status information shown in Waslo
- Support requests and correspondence sent to us
4. Order and customer information entered by merchants
Merchants may enter information about their own customers and orders so they can operate their business in Waslo. This may include customer names, phone numbers, addresses, products, quantities, prices, delivery details, notes, and order status.
Waslo processes this information to provide the merchant with order management, delivery-related workflows, returns handling, reporting, and similar features available in the product. Waslo does not use merchant customer lists to market Waslo’s own services to those end customers.
5. Facebook / Meta integration data
A Waslo merchant may voluntarily connect a Facebook Page to Waslo. When a merchant does so, Waslo may receive data made available through Meta APIs and webhooks that is necessary to provide the integration.
Depending on the event and the permissions granted, this may include:
- Facebook Page identifiers
- Page name, where available
- Messenger conversation and participant identifiers
- Message identifiers
- Message text and content
- Message timestamps
- Message direction (for example, incoming or outgoing)
- Supported message attachment metadata or content, where applicable
Page access credentials required for the integration are stored securely and encrypted where applicable. They are not intentionally exposed to other Waslo merchants or to the public.
Each merchant should only be able to access data associated with their own Waslo account and the integrations they have connected. Waslo is designed so that one merchant’s workspace is isolated from another merchant’s workspace.
6. Messenger data
Messenger data received through a connected Facebook Page is used to provide the connected merchant with Waslo’s Messenger-related functionality, such as associating conversations and messages with that merchant’s Waslo account.
Waslo does not sell Meta or Messenger data. Waslo does not use Messenger content to advertise Waslo or third-party products to Facebook or Messenger users.
To request deletion of Facebook or Messenger-related data held by Waslo, see our User Data Deletion page.
7. How information is used
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Waslo service
- Authenticate users and protect accounts
- Display and manage orders, deliveries, returns, costs, and related operations for the merchant who owns the data
- Provide optional features a merchant chooses to use, such as message-assisted order entry or a connected Facebook Page
- Communicate about the account, billing, product updates, and support
- Monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and investigate security issues
8. Legal and business purposes
We may also process information where needed to comply with applicable law, enforce our terms, protect the rights and safety of Waslo, our merchants, and others, and keep records required for accounting, billing, or security.
9. Data sharing and service providers
Waslo does not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate the platform, such as hosting, database, email, or similar infrastructure providers, under obligations to use the information only to provide their services to us.
If a merchant connects a delivery company or other third-party service through Waslo, information the merchant chooses to send (for example, order and recipient details needed for shipping) may be shared with that provider according to the merchant’s configuration and that provider’s own terms.
We may disclose information if required by law or to respond to a valid legal request.
10. Data security
Waslo uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information we hold, including encryption of certain credentials where applicable and access controls between merchant accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service to the relevant merchant, and for additional periods where we have a legitimate legal, accounting, billing, security, or dispute- related need to keep records. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete or anonymize it as appropriate.
12. User and customer rights
Waslo merchants may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with their Waslo account by contacting us at contact@waslo.tn.
End customers who want to correct or delete information a merchant stored in Waslo should normally contact that merchant first. We can assist the merchant or, where appropriate, handle a request ourselves after we have enough information to identify the relevant account.
13. Facebook / Meta data deletion
If you want Waslo to delete data associated with a Facebook Page or Messenger integration, follow the process described on our User Data Deletion page. A merchant may also disconnect a Facebook integration from Waslo through the integrations settings where that option is available.
14. Third-party services
Waslo may include links to, or integrations with, third-party websites and services, including Meta/Facebook and delivery providers chosen by the merchant. Those services have their own privacy practices. Waslo is not responsible for the privacy practices of services we do not control.
Some Waslo features may send content a merchant submits (for example, a customer message pasted into Waslo) to a third-party processing service solely to provide that feature back to the merchant.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. The updated policy will apply from the date it is posted. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
